CHAMBER MUSIC ON ÖLAND
Upcoming concerts
ÖCP Festival
23rd of July to 2nd of August 2026
10th edition
In the summer of 2026, Öland Chamber Players celebrates its tenth anniversary with a festival that reflects both its artistic journey and its enduring connection to the island. Over the past decade, the festival has grown into a meeting place for internationally acclaimed musicians and audiences seeking chamber music at the highest level, set within Öland’s unique cultural and natural landscape.
This anniversary edition brings together concerts spanning different periods and styles. The programmes range from Schubert’s late chamber music to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Piazzolla’s reimagining of the same theme, and culminate in a jubilee concert at Vida Museum with Camerata Nordica and the violinist Kerson Leong.
The festival unfolds across distinctive venues on the island, each contributing its own atmosphere: the resonant stillness of Källa Old Church, the contemporary setting of Vida Museum, and the intimate, close-knit surroundings of Anna’s Farm. Together, they form a backdrop in which music can be experienced with immediacy and depth.
At the heart of the jubilee is a celebration of collaboration — between musicians, between traditions, and between past and present. Guest artists join long-standing collaborators in programmes that highlight both virtuosity and ensemble playing of the highest sensitivity.
Ten years on, Öland Chamber Players continues to explore the expressive possibilities of chamber music with curiosity and commitment. This anniversary festival is both a reflection on what has been and an invitation to what lies ahead.
The Öland Chamber Players festival 2026 is presented with the generous support of Länsmusiken in Kalmar County, Borgholm Municipality, Borgholm Energi, and co-organizer Camerata Nordica.

About Öland Chamber Players
CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL & SEASON ON ÖLAND
How it started
Öland Chamber Players was born out of a passion for Öland and chamber music. After careful consideration, we decided it was time to bring these elements together and establish a chamber music society on the island. In 2017, we initiated a summer festival to provide the local community and tourists with exceptional chamber music performances in unique venues selected for their acoustics and cultural significance. Since then, we have expanded to include seasonal concerts at various locations across Öland. We eagerly look forward to welcoming you to our concerts!

Our philosophy
The Öland Chamber Players’ philosophy is to share music by performing well-known pieces from the classical repertoire, as well as showcasing forgotten compositions and composers. We aim to create connections between classical music and other genres like folk and jazz, providing inspiration and enjoyment for both musicians and audiences alike.
Furthermore, we are dedicated to making classical music accessible to children. To achieve this, ÖCP organizes concerts specifically designed for kids, giving them the opportunity to experience and appreciate the beauty of this art form.
